Job Description
The Tarleton Center for Child Well-being is looking for a dedicated professional to support the mental health and development of children and families through expert clinical care and outreach. This position will provide psychological, psycho-educational, and/or neuropsychological testing for children and adolescents. May conduct multiculturally competent mental health counseling and outreach to children and families in the clinical setting and provide training seminars and professional expertise. They may supervise assigned student trainees and provide clinical supervision to student interns if they are appropriately licensed. Per state licensure requirements, the psychologist will participate in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in their specialty area.
This is a 10-month per year (August 1 - May 31) in-office position located on Tarleton’s main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Working hours are Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm or as work requirements indicate. Must be able to work remotely at the request of the University.
*One position is available, with consideration for candidates across four different levels: Licensed Psychological Associate, Psychologist I, II, and III.*
Job Duties and Responsibilities
100% Clinical Service Provision:
- Direct psychological activities and programs
- Conduct psychological evaluations
- Diagnose and counsel clients, provide consultation and training on conducting therapy sessions, and conduct psychological research.
- May supervise assigned student trainees and provide clinical supervision to student interns if appropriately licensed
- The psychologist should be able to work under minimal supervision while serving the needs of the client population.
- Per state licensure requirements, the psychologist will participate in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in their specialty area.
- Future duties such as: evaluating and pursuing opportunities for research, grant acquisition, and instruction may be considered.

Position Overview
The Department of Psychology at John Jay College invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2025. The Department is interested in candidates with a PhD or JD/PhD with research interests in child and/or adolescent Clinical Psychology and trauma. The Psychology Department has significant strength in Clinical Psychology (with concentrations in forensic psychology and social justice) and seeks applicants who will be able to provide research mentorship to PhD students in CUNY’s Clinical Psychology PhD program at John Jay College, master’s students in the Forensic Psychology master’s programs, and undergraduate Forensic Psychology majors. Faculty will perform teaching, research and advising duties in their area(s) of expertise; and share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in clinical or counseling psychology or a JD/PhD (with PhD in clinical or counseling psychology), with expertise in child and/or adolescent trauma. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to teach successfully, have a demonstrated record of scholarship or achievement, and will be able to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Forty-seven percent of John Jay students are first-generation college students. Compensation
$52,667- $99,532 Salary commensurate with education and credentials. Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology Faculty - Open-Rank
Hiring Department
The University of Texas Permian Basin's Department of Psychology welcomes applications for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology and hold licensure as a Licensed Psychologist in Texas or be able to attain licensure in Texas within six months after the appointment. Rank is open, and we offer a competitive salary, excellent fringe benefits, and relocation expenses. The anticipated start date is January or August 2025. Review will occur on a rolling basis.
Salary Range
$95,000 - $130,000 depending on qualifications
Essential Functions
This position will include practicum supervision and graduate courses such as intellectual and personality assessment, and psychopathology. The faculty member will teach three courses in each of the spring and fall semesters (18 credits per academic year), and a willingness to teach online is desired. The candidate should demonstrate professional competence in clinical supervision and training. Responsibilities

- Participate in curricular development.
- Provide direct clinical supervision for trainees in the Clinical Psychology graduate program as an individual supervisor/practicum course instructor. Participate in departmental training, faculty meetings, and other departmental activities. Maintain regular contact with psychology department faculty to coordinate training needs.
- Conduct regular program development and evaluation in supervision-related activities.
- Provide support to students in need of academic improvement.

- Actively participate in the department's expansion.
Required Qualifications
- Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology or a closely related field from an APA-approved program
- Able to satisfy one of the following:
- Currently licensed as a psychologist in the State of Texas
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Texas within six months after appointment
- Must have taken and passed the EPPP exam prior to hire AND plan on earning their license in the State of Texas within 12 months after their appointment

Assistant/Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology for the Department of Psychological Science/College of Liberal Arts
We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as an Assistant/Associate Professor beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas of Hispanic/Latinx mental health and clinical psychology: clinical neuropsychology, psychological assessment, social determinants of mental health/disparities, trauma, neurodevelopment, or diversity research. The department offers a PhD program in clinical psychology that uses a scientist-practitioner model, an MA program in clinical and experimental psychology, and Major in psychology. The department trains students at its Psychology Clinic, which offers both in-house clinical practicum training and research space for students and faculty.
The candidate will be a core faculty member in the clinical psychology Ph.D. program which is accredited on contingency by the American Psychological Association. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain an active program of research, seek extramural research funding, teach graduate level courses in the PhD program, mentor graduate students in the PhD program in clinical psychology, and serve as a clinical supervisor to students.
