You may create a member or a non-member profile.
By creating a member profile
(regular, associate, or student) and
paying dues, you will be able to submit an abstract (or be a co-author
on an abstract) for the SWPA portion of the convention program or you
may submit an abstract (or be a co-author on an abstract) for
any of the adjunct organizations that meets at the SWPA convention
(SCPA, SAMR, Psi Chi and TPA).
Persons with non-member
profiles may submit (or be a co-author on an abstract) for any of the
adjunct organizations. (Check with the adjunct organizations for any
membership requirements for submission to their part of the program.)
All persons who wish to submit to (or be a co-author on) any part of
the convention program must have a current profile so that they are in
the database. Non-member profiles are cleared following the
convention each year. Member profiles are maintained as long as a
member is dues current within the most recent three years.
SWPA Members: There are two
steps to creating a profile and becoming a new member of SWPA:
- Create a login / password and
complete the online membership profile
- Submit your dues payment. After you login, you can pay your
dues online using a credit card (prefered method) or
you can mail a check to our Secretary-Treasurer.
If you wish to pay both membership dues and convention registration at
one time (prior to the abstract deadline), then you can receive a
"bundle" discount and save $5 on your dues. Alternatively, you
can pay dues prior to abstract submission and pay registration later,
or if you do not plan to attend the convention, you only pay dues and
do not need to pay registration at all.
Note: any registration paid less than 3 weeks prior to the opening of
the convention will have a $15 late registration fee added.
Non-Members: There is one step
to creating a profile and becoming a non-member.
- Create a login / password and
complete the online non-membership profile
You may pay your convention registration at any point, although any
registration paid less than 3 weeks prior to the opening of the
convention will have a $15 late registration fee added.
